• We are a special library of an onsite borrowing type open to the public.
• We make an online catalogue available containing the whole collections of the museum library.
• We provide the basic library, information, and research services free of charge.
• In the Library we provide access to the electronic database JSTOR Museum Collection and full texts of digitized documents from the Kramerius digital Library via the DNNT service (works not available on the market).
• We administer two collections – Old prints and Regional literature.
• We provide excursions of our unique spaces combined with exhibitions from our collections.
• By processing the collections in a scientific manner we contribute to the scientific and specialist work of the museum and publish our results.
• We assign and register ISBN numbers for the books issued by the Museum of West Bohemia in Pilsen.
• We distribute and sell the publications issued by the Museum of West Bohemia in Pilsen.
• We take part in the development of projects focused on digitization and creation of databases.
• We are members of professionals associations focused on book culture.
